Learn, sing and record The Wedding At Cana by Patrick Hawes

Patrick Hawes is a dear friend of Choir of the Earth, having composed the stunning Quanta Qualia, which we have adopted as our anthem, as well as Pacis Et Caritas, inspired by the spirit of our choral family and the words of our Founder, Mark Strachan BEM.

Patrick Hawes

The Wedding at Cana is Patrick’s first major choral work - a cantata depicting the biblical story of the wedding at Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine.

In November and December 2024, our marvellous Musical Director Ben England BEM will teach this special work in six weeks of live online rehearsals. The recording window will remain open into January 2025, so you will have lots of time to catch up and record, even if the festive season is a busy time for you.

More details will follow closer to the start of the course but in the meantime we can share the link to our course launch on Monday 4 November 2024 at 17:00 UK time - this is open to all as a taster of the music and resources available to our members:

This is a course you won’t want to miss and we offer a FREE first month of membership to new members with promo code WELCOME1 - you have nothing to lose and so much to gain:
