Young Self-Isolation Choir
Young Self-Isolation Choir is for the most important people in the world. Not grown-ups, like us. And not teenagers. And not young adults. This Choir is for children of any age, though we expect you might be between 3 and 10 years old... Probably.
Young Self-Isolation Choir is free and here for young people to have fun learning some wonderful music.

Musical Director
The sessions are led by our very own Musical Director, Ben England BEM.
Ben is a qualified classroom teacher, with huge experience teaching music to young people from the ages of 2 to 18 and beyond. Ben qualified as a secondary school music teacher in 2003 and worked as a Head of Music in a large school before becoming Director of Music of an outstanding Multi-Academy Trust, leading singing and performing across 5 schools - both primary and secondary.
Ben has also worked at a county level, as an Advanced Skills Teacher for South Gloucestershire supporting music in 45 schools, and subsequently as the Vocal and Instrumental Strategy Manager for Bristol, supporting music across over 100 schools. His innovative work on curriculum design and technology has earned three nominations for the prestigious UK Music Teacher awards, and a win for the Bristol Music Curriculum in 2017. In 2020, Ben was awarded the British Empire Medal by HM the Queen for services to choral singing and the community.
